The SLCP will be selling raffle tickets for $5.00 with up to $5,000 in prizes. Net proceeds from the breakfast event and raffle will be designated for the purchase of a $10,000 Portable Message Board equipped with radar. The transportable road sign will be used exclusively in the four cities served by the South Lake Minnetonka Police Department — Excelsior, Greenwood, Shorewood and Tonka Bay — to keep motorists and pedestrians informed of road conditions, driving hazards and events pertinent to public safety.

​One thousand raffle tickets will be available for sale by the South Lake Crime Prevention Fund Board members at these dates and locations:

• Tues., Sept. 10th Excelsior Farmers Market, Water Street, in Shorewood Landing booth, 2-6 PM.
• Sat., Sept. 21st Excelsior Apple Day, in Shorewood Landing booth, 9 AM-4 PM.

• Thurs., Oct. 3rd Excelsior Fire District’s Fire Prevention Open House & Safety Fair, 24100 Smithtown Rd., Shorewood, 5:30-8 PM
• Sat., Oct. 5th The Pillars of Shorewood Landing, 6000 Chaska Rd., Shorewood, 8:30-10:30 AM.
